Unicard has four LED’s. The green LED indicates relay 1. The

yellow LED indicates key depression and also requests the PIN-

code (when the unit is set to card & PIN). The first red LED

indicates access denied and the second one is free for external

control via inputs on PL4: 11,12.

There is a 560Ω resistor in series with the second red LED,

this value is suitable for 12VDC supply. If you are to use

24VDC cut the S3 jumper in the unit.

2. Initialisation & Password

After installation the Unicard has to be initialised with a special

code. This code pre-sets printer parameters, clears the memory

and sets the opening times to 7 seconds. The code is 199201.

Initialisation & Memory Reset

Open the card reader

Press RST button on the

circuit board

Wait for 4 bleep confirmation

Enter 199201

Press #

Wait for 8 bleep confirmation,

the memory is now cleared and

language is set to English.

If the print out is printed in a language other than English, an

incorrect initialisation code has been entered. Repeat the

above instructions.

To allow the reader to be programmed and to initiate the printouts

a six digit password is required.
